2017 Dr. Leonard W. Johnson Scholarship Brunch

Greetings Rattlers!
On June 10th, the Philadelphia Alumni Chapter of FAMU National Alumni Association hosted its annual Dr. Leonard Johnson scholarship brunch at Bourbon Blue in Philadelphia. Over 45 alumni, friends, students, and parents attended the event in addition to the donations from those who could not attend. This year featured special guest and speaker FAMU trustee, Craig Reed, who resides in Delaware. He shared some of the current challenges FAMU facing and providing insight on the administration’s plans to move FAMU forward. We were also pleased that new FAMU freshman and music major, Kimani Jackson, was present so that we could present him with a $1000 scholarship in the name of Dr. Johnson. It is the support of our local alumni attending our events and paying dues that makes it possible for us to support FAMU. We thank you for your support and look forward to seeing you at our next event.
